Acceptance of terms

These terms govern your use of Carbinger. By accessing the service you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Carbinger.

What Carbinger is

Carbinger analyzes car listings from sellers and other sites and, where available, shows them in one place with context such as deal scores and market comparisons. We are not the seller, we don’t broker sales, and we aren’t a party to any deal you make.

Your account

You must be at least 18 to create an account. Provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and tell us about any unauthorized use. You’re responsible for activity on your account.

Listings you post

If you post a listing, you’re responsible for it. It must describe a vehicle you’re entitled to sell, be accurate, and use only photos and text you have the right to share.

You keep ownership of your content and give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display and adapt it to run and promote Carbinger while it’s listed.

We screen listings and may hide any listing from the catalog at any time, and we will tell the seller why. A hidden listing stays in the seller’s account and can be edited or restored.

Acceptable use

When using Carbinger, you agree not to:

• Scrape, copy or resell our data or listings, or access the service by automated means beyond normal browser use.
• Get around usage limits, bot checks or other security measures.
• Post false, misleading, infringing or unlawful content, or impersonate anyone.
• Harass, defraud or spam sellers, buyers or other users.
• Interfere with or attempt to disrupt the service.

Listing data and analysis

Listings, prices, photos and vehicle details come from sellers and other sites. We don’t verify them and don’t guarantee that they are accurate, complete or current, or that a vehicle is still available. Always confirm the details with the seller and inspect the vehicle before you buy.

Deal scores, price comparisons, market trends and risk flags such as unusual pricing or mileage are automated analysis of listing data. They are estimates offered for guidance. They are not professional, financial, legal or mechanical advice, and not a finding about any seller or vehicle.

Inspection reports

If you order an inspection report, an independent provider prepares it. They reflect the vehicle at the time of inspection and are not a warranty. Decisions you make based on a report are your own.

Intellectual property

Carbinger’s software, design, branding, scores and analysis belong to us or our licensors. Listings and photos belong to their owners.

You may use Carbinger for your own car shopping and selling. You may not copy, republish or build a competing product from our content without our written permission.

Copyright and takedown requests

If you believe content on Carbinger, including a listing, photo or text drawn from another site, infringes your copyright or other rights, email legal@carbinger.co with the subject “Takedown request” and include:

• The work or right you believe is infringed.
• The Carbinger page where the content appears.
• Your name and contact details, and who you act for if not yourself.
• A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized by the owner or the law.
• A statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for them, with your full name as signature.

How we handle takedown requests

• We confirm receipt and ask for anything missing from the notice.
• If the notice is complete and credible, we hide the content from Carbinger and keep it hidden while we review it.
• If someone posted the content on Carbinger, we tell them it was hidden and why, and pass on the notice without your private contact details.
• The person who posted it can reply with a counter-notice explaining why the content is lawful. We may restore it if the counter-notice shows the claim was mistaken, unless you tell us you have started legal action.
• We may close the accounts of repeat infringers.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings.

Disclaimer of warranties

Carbinger is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from reliance on listings, prices, scores or reports, or from your dealings with sellers or buyers.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the laws of Qatar, including for fraud or gross negligence.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar.

If you have a dispute with us, contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. If we can’t resolve it within 30 days, either side may take it to the competent courts of the State of Qatar, which have exclusive jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We’ll post the current version here with its date, and tell account holders about significant changes.
